Life in our world is very different right now. With so much going on here in America, it’s not unusul to feel overwhelmed, anxious, and even scared. It’s important to stay strong and optimistic even when it feels like everything might be falling apart. Something I do everyday is have “No Zero Days.” The idea that you never have a day where you do absolutly nothing. Even if you can get up and brush your teeth then that’s at least one thing to make yourself proud for. What is just one thing you can do today that will make you feel proud of yourself?
When you have this mindset even in the darkest of times, it keeps you from completely quitting. And right now we can’t have quitters. We need you here.
This affirmation is for bringing yourself back to the present, turning off the TV, putting your phone away, and for one moment being alone with yourself. Find calmness in your everyday. An example could taking five minutes sitting on a bench by a nice tree on your work break practicing mindfullness, or maybe it’s just painting your nails. For me, that’s cooking. I try to turn off all distractions and simply enjoy the process of cooking. What is your calming task moment today?
