My Healthy Green Smoothie Recipe is so easy you’ll wonder why you haven’t been making this for years. It’s easy and full of healthy ingredients. I hope you try it and like it as much as I do!
A couple summers ago I was working at a cafe inside a gym and discovered this recipe. It wasn’t actually on our smoothie menu. I’m not even sure how it got started but one day I noticed our regulars asking for the “Green Goblin.”
I eventually tried it and became obsessed. I loved it because it allowed you to stock up on your greens without actually having to taste them. I’m not a huge salad lover so this has taught me different ways to add greens into my diet in different ways. I’ve been making it for a couple of years now and have made some edits to the original recipe. In my opinion, I’ve perfected it.
Ingredients:
- Spinach
- Frozen banana
- Cinnamon
- Water/Almond Milk
- Almonds
- Ice
- Protein Powder
I include frozen bananas in the recipe but ripened banana works just as well. Almond milk is great with this recipe too but adding cold water still makes a great recipe.
This Healthy Green Smoothie Recipe is great for breakfast or after a workout. The cinnamon adds a sweetner to the smoothie. Cinnamon has so many good benefits on the body. Spinach is also great for you and this recipe kind of allows you to sneak in your greens so add as much as you want to! Most likely you’ll barely taste it due to the banana and cinnamon.
When it comes to making the smoothie, I think it’s best to add the liquids first. Not only will it help your blender not break but I also think the ingredients mix together better.

Spinach Banana Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 Frozen Banana
- 1 cup Spinach
- 1 tbsp. Cinnamon
- 3 Ice Cubes
- 5 Almonds
- 1 scoop Vanilla protein powder
- 1 cup Cold water Almond Milk if you want it sweeter
Instructions
- in a blender add water until it touches blade.
- Add almonds, cinnamon, protein, spinach, ice, and frozen banana.
- Mix until smooth. Drink immediately
