Are You Self Sabotaging Your Success? Here are some signs you’ve been self-sabotaging your own success. It all begins by being aware of the negative habits you’re holding on to.
You’re scared to ask questions
“You get in life what you have the courage to ask for.” This Oprah Winfrey quote is one I live by. There are no dumb questions!
You aren’t prepared
When opportunities come knocking, will you be prepared? Do you want to switch jobs? Have you updated your resume? Is your LinkedIn up to date? Get organized!
You’re being lazy
You know what needs to be done but you do something else instead. Do you really want this goal or like the idea? Remember that you are worthy of any goal you put your mind to.
You ruin things when things get good
You’ve never had this success so you get scared and get rid of it. This happens a lot with money. You feel like you don’t deserve this huge promotion so you download the Target app and do a little shopping. Remind yourself that you are deserving of this success.
You don’t know what you want
You keep saying you want things but have you sat down and really laid out those goals. Maybe you want to work for a huge magazine one day. Deep down though, you have no desire to live in NYC. Having this conversation with yourself can help you pivot your goals to more realistic goals.
You blame others for your problems
At the end of the day, it’s your life. Adjust your attitude and point of view and a lot can change.
