Daily Affirmations For Moms

Happy August! I hope you are all having a positive month. I have been very busy lately traveling and going on mini weekend trips but at the same time, I’m feeling more settled in my life as of late. Earlier this year, I had a lot of lifestyle changes including moving but writing affirmations has truly helped me feel more grounded. They remind me of my goals but also help me shift my mindset away from limiting beliefs. This August, I’ve been practicing releasing old habits and fear-based thoughts. You may even see that pattern in my affirmations this month. No more “I can’t” sentences for me! I’m finding a balance between giving myself grace and resting and also going for what I want and not being scared of what could happen. What’s been the theme for you this month?

Best, Summer Sierra

WHAT’S AN AFFIRMATION?

A positive statement used to help you overcome negative thoughts and ideas. The message is usually written in the first person and can be long or short sentences. The purpose of affirmations is to develop a habit of positive thinking and self-empowerment.

WHY ARE AFFIRMATIONS IMPORTANT?

Affirmations can help you change your mindset on a difficult idea or situation. They can increase self-esteem, gratitude, and help you overcome loss for example. With all the distractions of the world, affirmations help you remind yourself daily of what is your priority in your personal healing journey.

HOW CAN I USE AFFIRMATIONS?

Affirmations can be used in various ways but the important part is to continuously do them. It’s like working out! One workout will make you feel good but it won’t change your body. You can practice affirmations by reading them out loud, writing them down, or simply having them saved as your lock screen. Interacting with affirmations daily on the topic you choose will improve your life for the better. My recommendation is to get creative with where you feel you will best use them. An example would be to write an affirmation down on a sticky note and hang it on your mirror. Say it every day for a week and then create a new one the following week. It’s all about you.
