Bachelor Recap: Fantasy Suites

Episode 9

If you haven’t read my recap of Hometowns from last week, check it out here!

Jet skis, virgins, and kangaroos… Fantasy Suites have arrived.

The episode begins with Madison confronting Peter after the last rose ceremony about her personal faith going into the Fantasy Suites. (Do I capitalize Fantasy Suites? I feel like it should be.)

She doesn’t directly say she’s a virgin. She does say that she would just feel comfortable if Peter didn’t sleep with the other women if he planned on picking her. Low key normal thing to ask your “boyfriend” but you are on The Bachelor so what did you expect to happen???

Madison realizing she’s 23 years old on a reality TV show trying to get married

He says he can’t promise anything so she ends it with “actions speak louder than words.”

*Madison drops the mic*

The final three women arrive in Australia, Hannah Ann, Victoria F, and of course Madison. They have to share a condo together which never happens at this point in the Bachelor. Normally, contestants are separated in terms of their living spaces at this point. I guess budgets are tight!

The girls discuss how hometowns went and Victoria responds, “good.” …. LOL okay girl we see you. Could you imagine how much it would scare Hannah Ann and Madison if Victoria was like “Yeah, he never met my family actually.”

Peter comes in and gets Hannah Ann for their date first. They go jet skiing and she low key gives Peter permission to sleep with the other women and that she will be there for him, in the end, no matter. LIKE WHAT??

Besides that bizarre comment, I thought they were cute together. They seem like a cute Instagram couple with a skinny tea sponsorship.

Thinking about her Revolve sponsorship like…

She came back to the sorority house and Madison was patiently waiting there to ask how it went!! Hannah Ann, flushed face, hair frizzy, said: “it went well.” Yeah, very well it seems.

Hannah Ann and Peter

Victoria goes next, which means the producers purposely left Madison last to see if Peter would do what she says.

Victoria and Peter take a helicopter ride to some waterfall for their date. Peter says everything is great with Victoria except communication. Like, thank god that’s not an important part of a healthy relationship!!!!!!

“Everything is great with Victoria besides communication” – Peter Weber

Victoria makes a hilarious comment about how the date has been fun and that they haven’t fought….yet. Yikes.

At dinner, she opens up about an ex she had that never let her talk so she gets uncomfortable when Peter asks her questions. I think there were some lies sprinkled into that story but overall it made sense.

They stay on their best behavior for the rest of the night so they can both go to the fantasy suites together.

*Insert Peter’s final sigh of relief*

She comes back to the sorority house and tells Madison it was  “productive.” An amazing word choice by Victoria. She might just have my respect again.

FINALLY, we get to Madison, what we’ve all been waiting for!!! They start their date by pretending like everything is okay and ignoring the fact that he might have just slept with two other women and go climb a gigantic building. Yes, you heard right, their date was climbing the tallest building in Australia. How romantic?

Foreheads still touching even 10,000 feet up

They get to the top and just absolutely attack each other’s throats. They make out as if they will never see each other again.

Then comes dinner aka when they are finally allowed to talk about what everyone’s thinking. She brings up her faith again and tells him she’s saving herself for marriage so no fantasy suites for peter!!! He is low key in shock and processing everything as she explains that if HE DID sleep with the other women then she’s self eliminating. Essentially, she asks if he slept with them and he is SO UNCOMFORTABLE. To the point that he says those words out loud.

Peter realizing he picked decent sex over a good wife

Madison explains that she has high standards and she’s already compromised other things but she won’t compromise sex. It actually starts to get sad and you can tell Peter is upset. He tells her he’s been intimate with the other women and you could feel the heartbreak on Madison’s face.

Peter realizing telling three girls he loves them might be a bad idea

She gets up and leaves and Peter goes after her. They do their little forehead press thing which always makes me uncomfortable because picturing their sweaty foreheads against each other is just everything I’ve worked months with my esthetician to avoid.

Forehead touches again…..gross

He tells her not to leave and then the episode ends.
The preview for next week includes soooo many different things to try and throw us off. I guess we’ll just have to buy some cheap wine and keep our Monday nights free to find out.
