Sometimes daily life can feel like a heavy weight on your shoulders that you can’t shake. The feeling of fear, sadness, and hopelessness can feel incredibly overwhelming.
We look to everything across the internet, scour youtube videos, and everything constantly feels like more work. When all you want to do is relax and be happy.
Then when you do try and it doesn’t work you feel more inner shame and you start all over again. It an awful cycle, and I’ve been there countless times.
Spinning in that repetitive cycle is exhausting but there is a way to get out. Daily Affirmations train your mind to get you back on track.
Affirmations Help With Self-Love
The guide to starting affirmations is simple, starting. It can be as easy as saying to yourself right now, “I am worthy.” Let’s begin.
Practicing Affirmations
The actual act of practicing affirmations is quite effortless. You can be laying in bed and say them out loud or write them down. The most important thing is consistency and practicing your affirmations daily. Two easy options are practicing them write before you wake up or go to bed. Another effortless way is to have the affirmations as your background on your phone or laptop. I also like to print mine out at Walgreens or with a photo printing service and stick them where I’ll see them everyday. I like keeping some affirmations on the inside door of my skincare cabinet in my bathroom. No one else has to see them but me!
writing self love affirmations
Writing affirmations and saying them outwardly to yourself are both powerful ways of using affirmations. I personally think saying them to myself lead me to really identifying areas in-which I needed to heal more.
Developing self love
Using affirmations regularly is a great place to begin on your journey of healing. It’s a way to train your brain and get you on the right track mentally. We so often say hateful things about ourselves and don’t even notice. When you incorporate saying nice things to yourself more often, you start to notice how often you are speaking negatively about yourself.
What are the best affirmations to write for you?
The best affirmations to write for yourself are the ones that scare you the most! If saying “I love myself” freaks you out or makes you uncomfortable, write it down. Journal and/or ask yourself why it makes you uncomfortable to say/write. If you have something specific that’s bothering you, write about that specifically. Everyone’s healing journey is different and so is the right affirmation for you. We are special beings who deserve to feel happiness and love. I hope after practicing these various examples of daily affirmations for self love, you find more peace and love into your life.
