It may still be August but I can’t help but want to get into the fall spirit already. Maybe it’s because our summer was cut short due to the international pandemic or maybe it’s due to the fact that Fall is by far the best time of year and I’m impatient.
I will say that the nice weather here in Michigan isn’t too bad. I love going swimming and wearing dresses and short sleeves, I’m definitely not ready for those sweaters but I am ready for some fall vibes!! If we have to be stuck inside, mine as well be cozy.
Practical Magic – Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman in 1998, where do I sign up? This is one of my all time favorite movies. It’s about sisters who are also witches and have a love curse on their family. It screams 90s and fall vibes!
Bewitched – Nicole Kidman once again doing the most! Based on the 1960s sitcom with the same name, Nicole Kidman is a witch becoming an actress alongside Will Ferrell. The early 2000s mixed with the good cheesy jokes and romance makes it the best “fall but still summer vibes” movie.
You’ve Got Mail – This is a classic 90s Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks film and I can’t deny it’s a hit. This movie starts off in the fall season but overall the 90s vibes and cute romantic story makes it a great movie to watch bundled up on the couch.
Watch it on HBO or on Amazon Prime
Charmed – Once again, 90s. I might just be going through a 90s movies/shows phase right now but this show is the best for the pre-fall time. Three sisters realize they are powerful witches and have to defend themselves against demons while still trying to have a normal dating life. If you liked Gilmore Girls’ girl centric, fall theme but aren’t in school anymore and don’t want a reminder, Charmed is the show. The terrible CGI demons will give you the spooky vibes you’re looking for right now.
Midnight Sun – If there is anything that brings us more fall vibes, it’s the Twilight series. Stephenie Meyer, the author of the series just released a new Twilight book that’s in Edward’s perspective. I can’t help but want to read it because I’m so curious.
Michaels Candles – I don’t often shop at Michaels but I recently made a stop and found large fall candles for $3.33 !!! The sale is still currently going and I even ordered more while writing this post. I currently have Pumpkin Pie and it’s amazing. Lighting a fall candle doesn’t have to wait for October, I’m officially giving you permission.
Pumpkin Spice Latte Creamers – I spend my summer months drinking iced coffee and lately I’ve been thinking, it’s time. It’s time for that pumpkin spice latte. However, Michigan August weather along with my south facing windows doesn’t allow for hot coffee so the next best thing is fall flavored iced coffee’s with creamer.
