If you’re anything like me, you love hosting and having your friends over. With stay-at-home orders slowly being lifted, I’m preparing now for when I finally to see my friends. Of course one of the first things I plan is the food, specifically my Parmesan Garlic Fries.
For me, I like easy recipes that don’t take too much preparation. My go-to is potatoes because who doesn’t love potatoes? Making fries is so simple and doesn’t require too much of your time away from friends.
My Parmesan Garlic Fries recipe is a step up from your basic homemade french fries. Using fresh and simple ingredients, this appetizer will impress your friends and leave them full all night.
I use vegan parmesan because I stay away from dairy but you can use regular parmesan if that’s what you like. This recipe is for 2-3 people so add extra potatoes if you are feeding your whole girl squad.
Parmesan Garlic Fries
The Ingredients:
- Potatoes
- Garlic Cloves
- Olive Oil
- Parmesan
- Salt
- Pepper
- Fresh Parsley
The first thing you will want to do is wash and peel your potatoes. Then go in and chop them into ¼ inch pieces creating the classic fry shape.
In a large bowl mix together the potatoes, olive oil, salt and pepper until they are fully covered.
Next, you will press a large garlic clove over the potatoes and mix around. I use the Zulay Garlic Press and it works perfectly for this type of recipe. If you don’t have a garlic press in your kitchen, you need one! Instead of buying a cheap one and it breaking on you six months later, use my code SIERRA10 to get 10% off at Zulay and buy a high quality garlic press that will actually last.
Once the fries are covered, bake them at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Then take them out and flip them and press the other garlic clove over them. Finally, grate your parmesan over the fries and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Let the fries cool then sprinkle extra salt and fresh parsley over them.
I hope you and your girlfriends love this recipe. If you try it out, tag me on social media so I can see your creation.
Enjoy!
