If you need a fresh and authentic guacamole recipe this is the Best Guacamole Recipe. It’s my go to guac recipe and I’m so excited to be sharing it. Fresh and easy, it’s perfect for impressing your dinner guests.
If you’ve been buying store bought guacamole then it’s finally time for you to make the switch. Fresh guacamole is 10x better and much easier to make than you might realize.
This guacamole recipe always tastes fresh which is great. I like to use avocados that are just ripened but not too ripe. When picking an onion for this recipe. A red onion is best to use. Finely chop it down or put it in a food processor. You want to taste the onions but huge pieces of onion can get gross.
Next, is the tomatoes. I use grape tomatoes because they don’t create too much juice. Chop them into quarters.
My secret to this recipe is adding jalapeno and lemon juice. On your counter roll out the lemon for 10-20 seconds. This allows for more juice to come out once you chop it and squeeze it. For the jalapenos, I would normally use a fresh jalapeano but in this case I think it tastes better to use jarred jalapeano then chopping them up even smaller. I use the juice which makes the gacamole smoother.
Add the spices once and taste as you go to your liking. Garlic is a must! It might seem like this guacamole recipe will be super spicy but I promise it’s not.
This recipe is great with anything. Top the guacamole on my favorite tacos and totally impress your guests! If you also like queso with your guacamole try my recipe here.
