This Peanut Butter Banana Protein Smoothie is a delicious way to get extra protein into your diet. It’s sweet but healthy which is the perfect combination for my mornings, I wake up wanting 15 pancakes but also want the energy that I know a healthy breakfast gives me so I compromise at this smoothie.
As you can see I really pack in a lot to get the most of my smoothie. This recipe is very easy to customize so I would definitely add what you like in your other smoothies to add more nutrients.
I love this recipe but it’s flexible. Add a frozen banana and extra ice for a thicker, cold drink. I’ve added Almond Butter before and it taste just as great.
Sometimes I add nuts to this smoothie such as almonds or pecans and it really adds a great addition. if you are trying to bulk up or just needed a heavier smoothie, I like to add quick oats. It’s so yummy and makes it so thick.
If you like bananas as much as I do or just have a couple ripened bananas you’re trying to get rid of, I have two great smoothies you should try. The first one is my Banana Vanilla Smoothie. It’s similar to this smoothie but much sweeter.
The other smoothie I love to make with bananas is my Green Smoothie recipe. This recipe is my secret way of sneaking in tons of greens. If you are into spirulina, I would recommend adding it to the Green Smoothie.
I hope you like this smoothie. If you try it and love it, tag me on social media so I can see your creation!
Enjoy!
