If you are looking to spice up your avocado toast, this Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast will be perfect for you. I tried Lox (smoked salmon) only recently and begun experimenting with different ways to serve it. New Yorkers eat it with a bagel and cream cheese – YUM! I picked up some dairy free cream cheese instead and fell in love! It’s cut very thin but hold a ton of flavor. This toast can be made for breakfast, lunch and even dinner.
I use sourdough toast but you can use whatever toast you have in your pantry or fridge. I think a big piece of french bread would be great with this too.
I first add the cream cheese and make sure it’s fully spread across the toast. Then I add the avocado. Since there is so much flavor happening I don’t season the avocado at all. I then add the tomato and onion. If you wanted to make this more of a breakfast toast, saute the onions and tomato and add a fried or poached egg! Then top it with the Lox! *Chef’s Kiss*
